BLM B-town's 2019 Summer Necessity Drive

BLM B-town teamed up with BLUU to HELP FREE BLACK MOTHERS!
In May we did our Babies and Bail Out Drive calling for donations not just to the National Bail Out Fund but also collecting necessities for local mothers. We extended the drive to include other items needed locally in June and will be extending into July!

Please Donate the Nation Bail Out  (Click HERE)
The National Bail Out is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration. We are people who have been impacted by cages — either by being in them ourselves or witnessing our families and loved ones be encaged. We are queer, trans, young, elder, and immigrant.

A few items can make the difference

#BlackLivesMatterBloomington believes everyone deserves the basics necessities in life. Unfortunately our society isn't set up to ensure everyone has those things, but we can change that. We can help get those in need, providing them those basic everyday items that are often taken for granted.

Dignity and respect are our watchwords so we have assembled a WishList of affordable, high-quality items that will meet people's needs while also conveying a sense of dignity and respect for the individuals receiving these necessities. Most items are gift or travel-sized products that can be purchased in bulk.
